 Dr. Roy Wood, Dean of the District Leadership Academy (DLA) for 2023-24, brings a rich background as an educator, executive, and Naval Officer. He served 24 years in the Navy in roles ranging from submarines to high-energy laser prototype operations. Post-retirement, he worked as a radar consultant, served in the Bush administration, and led as Dean at the Defense Systems Management College. Since 2016, he has been Dean of Northeastern State University’s Broken Arrow Campus and an active Rotarian. An avid endurance athlete, Roy enjoys running, cycling, and writing.
