Deena Fisher

Deena K. Fisher, a dedicated Rotarian and current president of the Oklahoma Historical Society, has been a board member since 2006. With a distinguished career as a dean/professor emeritus at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, she holds a doctorate in higher education administration and two master’s degrees. Deena’s commitment to education and community service shines through her involvement with various civic organizations, including the Citizens Advisory Board for William S. Key and the Hope Center Food Bank. Recognized for her contributions, she was inducted into the Journal Record’s Woman of the Year Circle of Excellence and received the Light of Rotary District Award. Currently serving as District Governor Nominee, she will become District Governor for 2022–23. Married to Tom, a retired educator, Deena proudly supports her four children and five grandchildren while continuing to inspire others through her leadership and service.

Dr. Rick Cobb

Dr. Rick Cobb has dedicated over three decades to education and is currently in his ninth year as Superintendent of Mid-Del Public Schools, where he drives innovation and excellence. His career began as an English teacher and volleyball coach, progressing through leadership roles in various districts before taking the helm at Mid-Del in 2015. A proud alumnus of the University of Oklahoma, he holds a Ph.D., a B.A., and a Master of Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Dr. Cobb’s commitment to education has garnered numerous accolades, including the Medal for Excellence from the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. He is also an active member of the Midwest City Rotary Club. Residing in Midwest City with his wife, Inger, he is a devoted family man with three adult children who inspire him daily.

Dr. Roy Wood

 Dr. Roy Wood is the Dean of the District Leadership Academy (DLA) for the 2023-24 term, bringing a diverse background as an educator, executive, and Naval Officer. He served 24 years in the Navy, with roles on submarines and surface ships, and held key positions ashore, including project manager in a naval shipyard and operations officer for a high-energy laser weapon prototype. After retiring in 2001, he became a technical consultant for a major shipborne radar project and later joined the Bush administration as Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for International Technology Security. He also served as Dean and Vice President of the Defense Systems Management College at the Defense Acquisition University. In 2016, he became the Dean of Northeastern State University’s Broken Arrow Campus, where he actively participated in the Rotary Club. An avid runner and cyclist, Roy has completed numerous endurance events and enjoys reading and writing.

Jack Werner

Jack Werner has been a devoted member of the South Oklahoma City Rotary for over forty years, taking on nearly every leadership role. A Paul Harris Fellow with his daughter Lynn, he passionately advocates for individuals with disabilities, leading initiatives like a ropes course for disabled children at RYLA youth camp and a 5K Run for Mobility Worldwide, which provides mobility devices to those in need. He owns A to Z Inspections, a leading commercial and residential inspection company in Oklahoma City, and is a certified accessibility inspector recognized with the OKC Mayor’s Clearing the Path Award and NAHB's national Instructor of the Year award. Jack mentors others to lead fulfilling lives, always inviting them to join the Rotary family. A proud veteran, he served as a Russian linguist in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Jack shares his life with his partner, Suzanne, and cherishes time with his four adult children and six grandchildren.

Major General William P. Bowden

Major General William P. Bowden served as the commander of the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center at Tinker Air Force Base. After a distinguished military career, he transitioned to roles in economic development with the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and served as executive director of the Kirkpatrick Center museum complex. He was also involved in higher education as a regent at Rose State College and held leadership positions in various organizations, including president of the Last Frontier Boy Scout Council and past president of the Rotary Club of Oklahoma.
